HISTORY
Bodin got his start like a lot of kids did, woodshedding guitar in his bedroom for hours, playing in high school jazz and concert band and starting local rock bands. But Bodin had bigger plans.
After receiving a scholarship to studying music composition, jazz and classical performance at the small liberal art’s school of Millikin University, Bodin moved to Chicago and focused on writing music, producing bands and leading his own electro-rock band (File Underwater) to the number 26 spot on Amazon.com’s “Emerging Artists” charts. After 5 years in Chicago, Bodin packed up and moved to Los Angeles with the goal of composing music for the big and small screen – and he has succeeded.
Prior to making a living writing music Bodin worked as a designer, art director, photographer and public speaker. He is a 2 time recipient of a CEBA Award (Creative Excellence In Business Advertising) and his design and photo work has been used for billboards in Times Square, magazine covers, books and brochures.
On his journey to creating music for a living full time, Bodin has written scores for theater productions, had his music arranged for marching bands as well as having his music used for a number of dance performances.
Bodin lives near with his wife Mela and three cats. When not working on music, Bodin finds rejuvenation in traveling the globe, learning new skills, creating art and photography and runs the blog SampleLibraryReview.com.
